At this point, laser cutting machines with cameras eliminate the problem of waste and time. Cameras positioned right next to the laser head or on the top of the machine recognize the patterns on the material in the field of view and enable the predetermined process to be performed for that pattern. The field of view of the camera near the head is about 10 cm2. It sees the pattern, performs the operation and changes its position, in this way it scans the entire work area and finishes the operation. Cameras mounted on the top of the machine have more professional lenses and larger field of view, seeing the entire working area and detecting patterns. In this way, the head does not have to scan continuously, the pattern positioning is done in one go. In addition, it is possible to make patterns that cover an area larger than 10 cm2, which the head camera cannot do, with the overhead camera.
